MR. RAUSCH
Jason Rausch has been teaching vocal music at Decorah High School since 2007. He holds degrees from Waldorf College and Luther College, and a Masters Degree in choral conducting from the University of Iowa. Jason is a Past-President of the Iowa Choral Directors Association and is the founder and chair of the Iowa Choral Showcase. Currently he is the artistic director and conductor of the Decorah Chorale, a mixed-voice adult community choir of 85 members. He was the choral director for Celebration Iowa Singers and Jazz Band in 2010 and worked as assistant choral director in 1999, 2000, and 2002. As a guest conductor and clinician, Jason conducted the 2005 Seventh and Eighth Grade Boys Iowa Opus Honor Choir, and in 2012 he represented Iowa as a clinician for the collegiate repertoire choir at the American Choral Directors Association North Central Regional Conference in Madison, WI. Under his leadership the Decorah High School Concert Choir was selected to participate in the ACDA North Central Regional Conference in Des Moines in 2014.
